Got the virus from I Am Legend.

um... take her to a vet. It sounds like a skin condition that you could get some perscription for. If you were losing all of your hair, wouldn't you go to the doctor?

You should contact a vet asap<--- as soon as possible

I'm thinking of an answer but some people told me that if you give your dog too much human food they lose hair. Don't know if that's true but i happens to my dog when i give her rice and stuff.

Is he aging? probably it depends on age and the type of food u r feeding him

Virus from I Am Legend LMFAO The dog possessed. Kill it while you can

Maybe you could consider talking with the vet. goldens are sometimes prone to seizures, also. she may need medication? I'm not sure, and this is not an absolute answer, because i'm not a vet. it would be good to have the dog checked out. take care.

During summerr time doggies tnd to loose their hair, because they are hot. But they will grow back their hair when winter comes so that they won't freeze. =) Hope my answer helps.

There are diseases that could cause this, so the vet may have an answer. Also, watch to see if she is chewing on herself, because her hindquarters and her tail are likely places for this to be taking place, and this is commonly caused by stress. Ask yourself this: Is she acting strangely? Is she chewing on herself? Does the bare skin look scabby or infected? Is she irritable or agressive, esp. towards your brother? Just things to think about. See a vet, and good luck!! :)

Sometimes when the season or the weather changes it causes hair loss; sometimes is a lack of vitamins and she can also have a skin irritation, skin infection and/or parasites such as microscopic tic, bateria or viruses. She can also be scratching or sitting on hard surfaces like cement, etc. The best thing is to take her to the vet. Take care, both of you!

It might be ticks. Take her to a vet, see what's wrong with her.

How old is the dog? Goldens are notorious for having lots of allergies, both environmental and food-related allergies. You should talk to your parents and ask them to get an appointment with your vet. She may be losing all the hair in her tail due to chewing or scratching, which is most likely due to allergies. Adult dogs develop allergies to foods they have been eating for a long time, so you might want to mention to the vet what she eats and how long she's been eating it. Good luck!

Sounds like a bad case of stress. Most hair loss is due to stress and bad diet. I would make sure that she feels comfortable and gets a lot of TLC and make sure that her diet is fortified fatty acids which contribute to an animals good coat. Make sure she has clean, purified water to drink and that she gets out to exercise for a good run or walk twice a day. Also, there may be people around this dog that are making her very nervous and uncomfortable. Animals are like kids, they do not do well when ignored, taken for granted or abused. If you love the dog show her by combing her fur, giving her a bath and making her feel loved and cherished and keep her away from people her make her nervous and uncomfortable. She also could have ringworm which is a skin infection and hair loss can result from that. Use povidone iodine solution on her fur and wash with an iodine shampoo. This will kill the ringworm and her hair will grow back. If you take her to a vet, they might be able to tell you. Anyway, good luck with your dog. I would do the iodine wash. She also could be having epileptic seizures and need to be on dilantin.
