use mane and tail shampoo and conditioner (it was originally for horses but it made there hair so beautiful they made one for humans also use a shampoo and conditioner for hair strength) -moisturize your hair -don't use heat products but if you do use a heat protect-ant -cut split ends. -be gentle to your hair and tie it up at night wrap it i didn't say ponytail so it doesn't break off -take vitamins -massage your scalp with a hot oil treatment -wash hair to remove scalp residue so it doesn't clog hair follicles. - Flip your hair upside down 2-4 mins (stimulates blood flow causing growth) -use conditioners to avoid tangles(tangles break hair) -cold water increases shine -Nutritious diet consisting of foods rich in B vitamins, proteins, iron etc is a highly recommended -Stress increases the risk of hair loss -Stay away from harsh chemicals and heating tools used for hair styling Source(s): hope i helped :)

The cause of hair loss isn't always easy to pin down, often it's a combination of things that is causing it. The way you prevent it will depend on what the cause/causes may be, so understanding why it's happening to you may be the best place to start. One thing is for sure it's best not to wait to do something about it. The earlier you identify the cause of the problem and address it the better your chances of curing it. In the source box I added a couple of links on hair loss, one has the various causes and solutions and the other lists vitamins you should add to your diet to better aid in hair growth.
